Please fill out the Sample List and Information Form and email it to Mohsen Shakouri prior to shipping your samples.

To ensure the safety of all CLS staff, special protocols on packaging your samples have been implemented:

1. Confirm the number of samples and the sample preparation protocols with the beamline responsible and get approval before shipping your samples.
2. Each sample should be labelled appropriately so it can be easily identified.
3. Mark all the sample details (including sample number, sample name, quantities, and hazards) in the shipping documents to make sure your samples arrive in time at the CLS. Note, that not all samples need to be individually identified on this form if they the same sample type. For example, if you have 20 soil samples, indicate soils and that there are 20 of them. Do not do this for “pure” chemicals; instead, indicate each one on the sheet.

Please send samples well ahead of time. They should arrive at the CLS at least a day before your beamtime. If you have beamtime early in the week, note that there are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays so shipments should be made the week before. Additional care and advanced planning is needed for shipments from outside Canada, as delays may occur due to customs inspections.
