Microprobe Endstation
The microprobe endstation operates under vacuum and is specifically tailored for applications requiring the challenging medium-energy range of 2-4 keV. This endstation utilizes a pair of Kirkpatrick-Baez (K-B) mirrors to focus the collimated beam to a spot size of 10 µm × 10 µm for mapping experiments. A high-resolution and large-area CCD camera is equipped to obtain an optical image of the sample. Micro-XAS can also be performed on specific spots using the microprobe.
