Welcome to the Soft X-Ray Microcharacterization Beamline
SXRMB is a medium energy x-ray beamline with a range of 1.7 to 10 keV. This unique energy range supports, but is not limited to, research from the biological, environmental, and chemical sciences. SXRMB houses four endstations which are avaialable to the user community, each providing a unique configuration for a variety of experiments. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), x-ray absoprtion spectroscopy (XAS), and elemental mapping via microprobe are available techniques at SXRMB.
